Our 2021 contest is open to foodservice operators, mixologists, bartenders, DIY enthusiasts – anyone who loves a good cherry-infused cocktail or mocktail!
We know that domestically-grown cocktail cherries are delicious and sustainable, and we cannot wait to see how you are using them!
How to Enter:
Send us your photo, the name of your cocktail/mocktail and a short description.
We Will Be Judging on:
Creativity! We all know that cherries make a great garnish, but how are you using them so that they are the star of your drink?
Originality! Have you created something that the world has yet to taste? We all love a classic cocktail or a cherry-infused spritzer, but show us what you’ve got!
Send us your photo and concept and we’ll send you a $10 Starbucks gift card!

Terms & Conditions:
Our 2021 contest is open to foodservice operators, mixologists, bartenders, DIY enthusiasts – anyone, located in the United States, who loves a good cherry-infused cocktail or mocktail!
Entrants must be 21 years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law.
HOW TO ENTER
A complete entry will consist of:
- Completed entry form,
- Clear photo depicting how you feature non-imported cocktail cherries – maraschino, Bordeaux or Amarena-style in your beverage, and
- A description of a drink or a recipe (a complete recipe is not required for entry, but will be requested for winning entries).
Entries that do not meet all of the entry requirements will be disqualified.
Entries must be submitted online at pacificcoastproducers.com/cherrylovecontest. Multiple entries may be submitted. Incomplete entries will not be accepted.
Deadline for entry is 11:59 pm Pacific on Monday, May 31st, 2021. Winners will be notified no later than Monday, June 14th, 2021. Winners will be posted on pacificcoastproducers.com/cherrylovecontest.
Entrants should check the label for “Product of USA” to be sure they are using cocktail cherries that are grown and packed in the U.S. In the absence of such labeling, please ensure that the cherries are not a product of another country.
Entries will be accepted starting 12am PST April 15th , 2021 through 12pm PST May 31st, 2021
All eligible entries will be reviewed by Pacific Coast Producers and/or its agents. All decisions are final, binding, and non-disputable.
Entries will be judged on the following criteria, with each being given equal weight in the judges’ assessment:
- Cherry Love Appeal: Are the cherries in the cocktail being featured in a creative way? Does the beverage look enticing?
- Cherry Love Originality: Is this creation something refreshingly original? A new twist on a top shelf classic? Infused with new and unexpected flavors and sure to appeal to patrons?
First, Second, and Third place winners may be asked to provide proof that their entry uses U.S.-grown cherries.
In addition to “Cherries for a Year,” plus a little PR (you and your beverage will be featured in the June issue of “For the Love of Cocktails” newsletter), winners will receive checks in the amount of:
$1,000 First Place
$500 Second Place
$250 Third Place
All entrants who submit a complete and eligible entry will receive a $10 Starbucks Gift Card electronically from Pacific Coast Producers (Limit: one Starbuck’s Gift card per person) once the contest has closed.
Any and all taxes on total prize values are the sole responsibility of the winners. Cash prizes will be awarded by Pacific Coast Producers subject to entrant’s company policy. The entrant is solely responsible for confirming pertinent policies and laws. If a winning entrant’s company prohibits the distribution of cash or other prizes, then the prize may be awarded to the company rather than the individual.
GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
By submitting an entry, each entrant grants Pacific Coast Producers non-exclusive rights to use the information and photos included in the entry and any resulting prize information for advertising and promotional purposes.
Pacific Coast Producers and its growers, processors, members, board, staff, and respective partners are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, inaccurate, misdirected, or undelivered entry materials; or errors or problems of any kind in connection with this Contest.
