One example of our commitment to sustainable farming that we are most proud of is our development in 2000 of conservative irrigation practices. Thanks to forward thinking, intelligent design and innovative technology, we are able to irrigate 98% of our acres with drip irrigation, which means the plant thrives by getting exactly the amount of water it needs while no water is wasted through evaporation or drainage. Our drip systems minimize the need for fertilizer and water while enabling the safe use of recycled water. This is good for business and good for the planet.
