Bacon Bruschetta Burger

Serving Size: 4
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (15 oz) canned bruschetta, divided
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, cut into 4 slices
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Green leaf lettuce leaves
  • Aged Cheddar Slices
  • 4 slices cooked bacon

Directions:

  1. Gently combine ground beef with breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire, mustard, garlic and 1/4 cup of the bruschetta. Shape into 4 patties.
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grate well. Grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side or until well-marked and burgers are cooked through. Grill onions until well-marked and tender, about 2 minutes a side.
  1. Serve burgers on buns with lettuce, cheddar cheese and bacon. Top each with 1/4 cup bruschetta.
